Mary Corona started her poetic, lyrical, music career when she was just a child, and wowed her teachers with her prose in grade school, and high school and later college. She had the natural talent of putting music and words together early on.

As a teenager in Guadalajara she entered a Pepsi Cola TV singing contest,and won 1st place over the now famous Vicente Fernandez, who was just starting out on his fabulous career. She began writing songs like Anoche Descubri, published on Rex label a division of RCA records with the Hermanas Gomez, that were hits in Guadalajara and Mexico City. In Mexico City she had some bit parts in movies and novelas with such big stars as Maria Feliz, and Julio Aleman. She was interviewed on TV by the famous celebrity Angel Fernandes.

Giving up this career she married and came to the United States. She never stopped writing music, and won 2 Arizona State O.T.I. contests, 3rd place, and 2nd place, competing against such composers as Jesse Armenta, who writes for Los Tigres Del Norte. She also wrote lyrics for candidate for Governor of Arizona Edie Basha, in his run for office. She makes several appearances with local Mariachis, and Trios, at various functions.
